The Bible is God’s word to all people. Written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Bible contains God's words and truth; both of which are not only relevant, but authoritative and essential to our modern physical and spiritual well-being.
THE ONLY GOD
God is the ultimate end and the root beginning of all existing things. There is (and can only ever be) one God; existing eternally as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust. God is good. He is our Father; the source of all things and the epitome of love, justice, and faithfulness. We live, move, and exist in Him.
Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God; fully man and fully God. In him all things were created. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the only Savior of mankind; the only one who could bear the burden necessary to free us. He willingly took the punishment for every wrong thing we ever will be guilty of upon the cross. He died, was buried, and after three days emerged from the tomb resurrected to life; promising the same for all those who believe in Him.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit's constant presence assures us of our relationship with God. He helps and teaches us in all things; convicting us of sin, providing comfort in difficult situations, giving us spiritual gifts, and making us more like Jesus.
Mankind is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and love. We were created to be in fellowship with God, but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, we cannot attain a right relationship with Him through our own effort. We need Him to bridge that gap for us.
